Bridging work has been set on Dr Frost Maths with 9 tasks covering the areas you must have good knowledge of before starting the A-level curriculum. There are two questions of each skill, meaning that if you get the first wrong you can watch the video and attempt the second. You should aim to complete this for Monday 8th September and any areas of weakness highlighted in our first assessment will require more work on specific areas.

To ensure you have the best possible resources for your A-Level studies, we require students to have their own copies of the following core textbooks. These books have been carefully selected to align with the AQA A-Level specifications and will be integral to your learning, revision, and success in the course.
Please find the required textbooks listed below, along with direct links for purchase on Amazon for your convenience:
- AQA Psychology for A Level Year 1 & AS (Third Edition) – for year 12 students only (please note this is a new textbook and is not suitable for the year 13 2025/26 cohort*) by Cara Flanagan, Dave Berry, Matt Jarvis, and Rob Liddle
- AQA Psychology for A Level Year 2 Student Book – for year 13 students in the 2025/26 cohort. Please note that there will be an updated textbook for year 12 students starting in September 2025* by Cara Flanagan, Dave Berry, Matt Jarvis, and Rob Liddle
*due to the change in Specification
Having these textbooks readily available will allow students to follow lessons effectively, complete homework assignments, and engage in independent study and revision. We recommend purchasing these books as soon as possible, ideally before the start of the new academic year, to ensure you are fully prepared.
