Year 8 Visit Auberge du Chocolat

Thursday 3 May was a  beautiful, clear day when Year 8 students visited Auberge du Chocolat, a local chocolatier in Chesham. The purpose of the visit was to support their scheme of work in Food Preparation and Nutrition,  as well as to discuss the origins of the chocolate and the importance of Fairtrade and its impact on developing world farmers.  Students had the chance to observe chocolate tempering and moulding and decorated their own chocolate shells, which were judged at the end of the visit.
