Friends of The Misbourne
Welcome to Friends of The Misbourne … your PTA.
Our team of volunteer parents works in partnership with Misbourne staff to provide a sociable link between home and school, as well as organising events to support the school and your children.
We believe in working in a community spirited way supporting The Misbourne’s ‘close-knit family’ ethos. Our events are fun and inclusive and we encourage everyone to get involved when they can. We value parent support no matter how little or how much you can give because supporting our children on the ‘journey’ through secondary school is something we all feel passionately about… Friends of The Misbourne aims to do this in all we do.
Our fundraising gives us the wonderful opportunity to pay for, or contribute to, vital school resources that ultimately benefit the whole school community. Most recently, we have purchased a new school minibus. In recent years we have funded the annual BookBuzz scheme for all Year 7 students, rewards for students in Years 8-11, and new shelving for the library, amongst other things.
We run the second-hand uniform shop on behalf of the Academy, which enables families to purchase good-quality second-hand uniform at low prices. Email preloveduniform@themisbourne.co.uk to enquire about uniform stock.
We participate in Your School Lottery and encourage families to sign up to this easy means of raising funds for the school while having the chance to win themselves. For more information and to buy tickets, click here.
Through social media, newsletters and regular updates we will keep you up to date with Friends Of The Misbourne events and The Misbourne school events… as well as sharing and celebrating what’s been happening at The Misbourne.
