History

History teaches our students about local, national and international events. History is vital in understanding the development of British society and how key events have shaped the world in which we live. History helps students to understand the complexity of people’s lives, the process of change, diversity of societies and relationships between different groups and the challenges of their time. History teaches our students key skills and knowledge to question sources of evidence about their past, enabling them to carefully formulate substantiated opinions. Students become global citizens through their carefully-selected history education and exposure to key events which have shaped national and international society.
