Applying to University
Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today: In September 2017, 65% of The Misbourne’s Year 13 leavers took up places at university, including places at Russell Group and other top universities.
With significant changes to the English student finance system and ever increasing options to choose from, it is vital that our students take time to consider applying to university. The Misbourne supports its Sixth Formers throughout Years 12 and 13 on their pathway to finding out about and applying to higher education. We run a series of enrichment talks throughout Year 12, host a Higher Education Information Evening for parents and enable our students to visit university open days. In Year 13, we guide our students through the all-important UCAS university application process and signpost our students toward the student finance options. Our teachers are all on hand to share their expertise and experiences in the varied universities across the UK and the world in which they themselves studied.

Grants and scholarships
We recommend students taking up university places explore search engines such as GrantFairy (https://www.grantfairy.com/), a mobile app which matches students with thousands of scholarships to help pay university tuition fees and living expenses.
